This case report describes a patient with global aphasia with little or no hemiparesis. Initially, computed tomography (CT) revealed a petechial hemorrhagic infarction anteriorly and another infarction posteriorly in the left hemisphere. Subsequently, CT showed a large confluent infarction in the territory of the left middle cerebral artery. At the end of 12 months, speech recovery was poor. Key Words: Global aphasia—Hemiparesis—Computed tomography.
