Abstract
We sincerely thank those individuals who have served as a Guest Editor and/or Peer Reviewer for Vascular Medicine in the past year (August 1, 2018 through August 1, 2019), and we acknowledge their important service to our Journal.
One of the greatest assets of Vascular Medicine is our multidisciplinary pool of expert Peer Reviewers, many of whom are vascular medicine specialists. Vascular Medicine sends hundreds of papers out for external review each year, and we rely heavily on our Editorial Board and additional Peer Reviewers to evaluate these papers and provide detailed comments. We take pride in obtaining high-quality, thoughtful reviews as a service to our authors and editors.
There were 208 individuals who served as a Peer Reviewer during the past year, all of whom are listed below. The editors rate each review for quality and timeliness on a scale of 1 to 3, and most reviews earn a 2.50 or higher rating.
The ‘Blue Ribbon Peer Reviewers’ are recognized for their most outstanding contributions to the peer review process for our Journal. These reviewers accepted all invitations to review for the Journal, and they contributed four, or often many more, of the highest-quality, on-time reviews in a 12-month period. We thank these individuals for going above and beyond the call of duty.
