Time to embrace Francis recommendations on regulation

Abstract

The Francis Report made an achievable and sensible recommendation of a single regulator to ensure future quality of patient care. Anne Burge, Chair of the Alliance for Patient Safety, argues that it is high time the Government took forward this specific recommendation, while taking the opportunity to regulate currently unregulated healthcare professionals for the sake of patients’ safety.
