Failure to consider Kawasaki disease as a diagnosis and offer treatment within 10 days of the onset of the illness leading to the development of coronary artery aneurysms at age 5. Free of symptoms at date of settlement. Future restrictions on activities and likelihood of low-grade psychological problems as a teenager. Settlement provisional upon the following conditions not occurring within the next 30 years: coronary artery stenosis requiring medical or surgical investigation or treatment; myocardial infarction; cardiac dysrhythmia requiring medical or surgical investigation or treatment; ruptured coronary artery aneurysm.
