Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the concept and technology behind her musical instrument development and improvisational performance work using eye movement tracking in relationship to current research in human eye movements and development of eye tracking systems. She discusses connections between the playing of the eye tracking instrument and research on automatic processes and free improvisation in music. The perspective is from an artist and programmer of interactive systems for human computer interaction.
