Abstract
Canada's National Tourism Indicators constitute a set of statistics that provide historical and current quarterly analysis of tourism, covering tourism commodity supply and demand, employment and prices. The Indicators are based on the work done in developing the Canadian Satellite Account. This article provides an overview of the Indicators: their raison d'être, their uses, the underlying methodologies, the quality of the estimates, benchmarking to the Satellite Account, and production operations. The final section looks at future developments affecting the Indicators.
