In 1997 the construction of a unique project in Stockholm was completed. An old electric power station was converted into a building containing both flats of very high acoustic class and a theatre for rock musicals. In order to achieve high acoustical standards the whole building was cut with a concrete saw from the roof to the cellar and a 20 mm gap was established. Rock musicals with sound levels of 120 dB(A) cannot be heard in the flats in the same building.
