Abstract
In order to explore the transmission and contact characteristics of the curve-face gear(CFG) composite mechanism, the motion characteristics model is established based on the high-precision model to analyze the time-varying mechanical characteristics and transmission efficiency. Based on the finite element simulation, the tooth surface contact area and the normal contact force of the tooth surface are explored, the sensitivity of the meshing force of the mechanism and the meshing stiffness of the two gears are analyzed. The results show that the modulus and the number of teeth of the driving gear are inversely proportional to the normal contact force, and the eccentricity affects the fluctuation range of the normal contact force and the spring force. The order of the CFG and the input speed affect the fluctuation period. The normal contact force and the tangential force increase significantly with the increase of the load torque. The transmission efficiency of CFG composite mechanism fluctuates at 90%, the increase of the order leads to the decrease of the average transmission efficiency. The tooth surface is characterized by point contact, the contact mark is the inner side of the gear, and there is a partial load phenomenon. The fluctuation trend of normal contact force and elastic deformation is consistent with the pitch curve. The normal contact force of the tooth surface shows instability as the speed and load torque increase. The meshing stiffness of the two gears fluctuates periodically, and the meshing stiffness at the bottom of the wave is larger and the anti-deformation ability is stronger.
