7 Syncretism is dynamic and is incarnated in various ways. For example, the Andean (and particularly Aymara) world, in spite of suffering a very long cultural degradation, has learned how to re-create identities and preserve eco-productive frameworks based on community relationships. Such relationships have expanded—and simultaneously metamorphosed—even in cities and areas of recent colonization. In La Paz not a single inhabitant exists who does not reproduce, in one way or another, some Aymara sign.
