While scholarship in Women's Studies has virtually skyrocketed since the 1970s, we do not yet have a general history of Women's Studies for readers who are interested in a less personal view of the discipline. What does exist are accounts and evaluations. The following is a partial list of references which includes both contemporary work and material from the early 1970s.
