Abstract
Background:
Infantile myofibromatosis is a rare condition that usually presents in infancy.
Objective:
The purpose of this article is to report a new case of late-onset infantile myofibromatosis and to review the literature regarding similar cases.
Methods:
A Medline search was performed, and a new case is reported.
Results:
The solitary tumour presented by the 9-year-old boy is histologically proven to be compatible with the diagnosis of infantile myofibromatosis.
Conclusion:
Although infantile myofibromatosis usually presents in infancy, onset may occur in childhood.
