Abstract
A new arthroscopic finding of chondromalacia of the femoral head is reported in five patients undergoing hip arthroscopy for undiagnosed hip pain. The term chondromalacia coxae is used to describe the condition, and its similarity to chondromalacia patellae is discussed.
