The etiology of idiopathic necrosis of the femoral head is surveyed from the literature and anew surgical treatment is proposed. This treatment aims to create a new blood flow in the necrotic area. The necrotic area, which lies between normal bone tissue and non-vascularized tissue, is broken by means of percutaneous nails.
In this paper, treatment strategies are discussed, as well as failures and surgical mistakes. The results obtained with this techniques seem to confirm the theorectical assumptions.
