Abstract
Purpose
To report retinochoroidal metastasis in small cell carcinoma of the lung.
Methods
Interventional case study. A 46 year old Caucasian male complaining of decreased vision in the left eye wads found to have a retinochoroidal metastasis. He also had developed some subcutaneous nodules and was feeling systemically unwell.
Results
Excisional biopsy of one of the subcutaneous nodules was consistent with small cell carcinoma of the lung. The patient received palliative treatment and died a month later.
Conclusions
Retinochoroidal metastasis can be the presenting sign of small cell carcinoma of the lung
