Readers should note that the version of the article that was published OnlineFirst in October 2020 and which was online until mid-January 2021 has been amended. The version now appearing online and on pages 549–556 of the June 2021 print issue of JFMS is the correct one. For information, the following amendments have been made to the original published version.
In the ‘Results’ section of the abstract, the tumour-specific survival (TSS) for asymptomatic cats should be ‘128 days’ and not ‘120 days’, as stated. The sentence has therefore been amended to ‘Cats with clinical signs at the time of diagnosis had a lower TSS (14 days) than asymptomatic cats (128 days; P <0.001).’
In addition, several values in Table 3 have been amended, and the corrected version of the table is shown below.
Median tumour-specific survival (TSS) time for clinical characteristics in 73 cats with metastatic mammary carcinomas
P value for log-rank test (median TSS)
Partial mastectomy after stage IV diagnosis with a palliative intent
NC = not computable
