In the fifth paragraph of ‘Correction of electrolyte imbalances’ box on page 1172, the unit for potassium supplementation should be mEq/kg/h and not mEq/h, as stated. The sentence has therefore been amended to ‘Potassium supplementation is calculated according to the serum level and, in general, the rate should not exceed 0.5 mEq/kg/h.’
