The launch of the website coincides with the CFC programme gaining six valued new partners: Boehringer Ingelheim, Ceva Animal Health, Elanco, IDEXX Laboratories, Merial and Royal Canin. Dr Andy Sparkes, ISFM Director, comments: ‘We are delighted to be working with six companies who share our passion for providing the best level of veterinary care to cats across the world. With their partnership and our brand new website, we can only see the CFC programme being adoped at more and more clinics worldwide – CFCs really are the future!’
Call for abstracts
Research abstracts of relevance to feline clinical practice are invited for the 2018 ISFM Congress in Sorrento, Italy.
Abstracts should present novel information (or highly unusual case material) that has not been previously published, although abstracts that have been presented at a previous conference will be considered. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed, and those accepted will go forward to be presented in poster format. The presenter of an accepted abstract will receive a 50% discount on member rate registration for the congress. Accepted abstracts will be published in JFMS.
2018 veterinary webinar programme
Building on the success of the ISFM veterinary webinars over the past 2 years, with the most popular webinar in 2017 having been watched over 1000 times, a new programme has been announced for 2018. ‘An update on diabetes’ is the first webinar of the year.

Pre-BSAVA congress symposia
The 2018 ISFM feline symposia will be taking place on 4 April, prior to the start of this year’s British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) congress in Birmingham, UK.
The veterinary programme will cover topics such as feline vestibular disease, chronic gingivostomatitis in cats and feline ketoacidosis.
Following its success last year, there will also be a programme for veterinary nurses/technicians. This year’s topics include emergency triage of the collapsed cat and cardiomyopathy in cats.
