The insulation industry is in the midst of a great depression; all manufacturers sales have shown sharp declines. Some manufacturers have gotten out of the insula tion business, while others have gone bankrupt. The number of installation contractors still in business has been reduced to only a small fraction of the number of contractors in business a year ago.
