A study of Asian hospitality students was undertaken to determine why they
came for an American education, how they heard about the program, and what
support services they needed. The study revealed that academic reputation of both
the university and the program are important, as are academic facilities, course
variety, and other variables. Services desired were tutors, scholarships, matched
peer advisors, home newspapers, and helpful faculty advisors.
