This article addresses the question of whether hospitality education will survive
for another generation. The authors contend that hotel, restaurant, and institutional
management education will be alive and productive in 2010. The hospitality
environment and the implications of that environment are discussed, along with
views of how the hospitality curriculum may evolve in the early 21st century.
