Abstract
Job choice attitudes of 645 graduating baccalaureate hospitality students involved in various stages of the employment search process were investigated in this study. Individuals were asked for their perceptions of the recruitment process, and the importance of organizational characteristics and Job attributes in making their job choice decisions. Findings indicated that demographic variables such as, race, managerial work experience, and program location were significantly related to industry preference. Student preferences for specific organizational characteristics and job attributes were also found to be significantly related to willingness to work in either the foodservice, lodging, or resorts/tourism sectors of the hospitality industry.
