Abstract
We have developed some parallel computer programs to show that the parallel computer MiPAX is suitable to deal with fluid flow simulations. MiPAX is the first com mercially available parallel computer for scientific appli cations in Japan. We describe two typical methods for incompressible viscous flow problems: the MAC method and the third-order upwind scheme in the general curvi linear coordinate system. The techniques of mapping a physical space onto a processing unit array and the pro cedure of data transfer are also presented for MiPAX- 32JFV, which consists of 32 processing units. We con clude that a program for MiPAX is basically identical with one for conventional machines.
