Abstract

Wu K-M, Yao J, and Boring D. Green Tea Extract-Induced Lethal Toxicity in Fasted but Not in Nonfasted Dogs. Int J Toxicol. 2011;30:19-20. (Original doi: 10.1177/1091581810387445).
On page 1 of the above-referenced article, in both lines 4-5 of the abstract and lines 15-16 of first paragraph, the second instance of “epigallocatechin gallate” should read “epicatechin gallate”. The fully correct version of this sentence reads as follows:
The polyphenol cachetins (a mixture of primarily epigallocatechin gallate [≥55%]; plus up to 10% each of epigallocatechin, epicatechin, and epicatechin gallate) appeared to be the causative agents for the observed toxicities because they are the active ingredients of green tea extract studied.
