The following is a synopsis of the American College of Sports Medicine position stand on the Female Athlete Triad: a syndrome occurring in physically active girls and women. Alone or in combination the three preventable disorders that comprise the Female Athlete Triad are disordered eating, amenorrhea, and osteoporosis.
