Abstract
The past 2 years in home care have been full of changes. Now, more than ever, providers must evaluate and strengthen their market position, their ability to thrive in the midst of mounting uncertainties, and their strategies for future growth, development, and care delivery to patients. Management and staff together must be prepared to understand and integrate the complexities of strategic positioning, financial management, and clinical integrity. Outsourcing management and staff development is one method to provide information to staff quickly and efficiently and train them in new skills while, at the same time, reinforcing essential on-the-job learning. Pertinent issues are explored in this article to determine whether your organization should outsource management and staff development.
