Abstract
Health care reform—stalled on the national level—is taking place on the local and state levels. New health care networks and alliances are being formed every day, and they are increasingly creating new managed care organizations. Since the health care reform movement is seeing a large influx of such integrated managed care organizations, the home care services industry must remain a vital component of these managed care systems. Home care services businesses need to have a comprehensive understanding of how these systems work to control the impact these managed care organizations will have on the home care environment.
