Abstract
As we enter the 21st century, a significant number of American elders with diabetes mellitus or impaired glucose tolerance will need and benefit from home health care services. This article examines significant trends, the role and responsibilities of home health care nurses, and the clinical problems of glycemic control and prebreakfast hyperglycemia.
