Sibling relationships powerfully influence children in many areas. The loss of a brother or sister disrupts the relationship and may have profound implications for the surviving children. This article discusses issues including a child's perception of death, life experi ences, social class, and effects on the family. The author suggests nursing interventions and provides a list of recommended books on death.
