Abstract
The multiplicity and complexity of the psychosocial challenges faced by persons who are HIV positive or have AIDS are enormous. Consequently, the home health care providers caring for these individuals must attempt to meet complex patient care needs in a creative and effective manner. This article is an overview of the challenges faced by these patients, their families and significant others, and home health care providers. Insight and interventions are suggested, which not only provide the reader with practical information to implement but also suggest other areas for investigation.
