The purpose of this article is to relay to the reader the details of a program developed by Valley Home Care to place camera phones in the home care setting. This program was established to create a more cost-efficient and time-saving means to evaluate and monitor wounds, establish a plan of care, and obtain Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) data without compromising care. Although the program is still in the initial stage, the results have been promising. The camera phones have allowed for a more direct link between the patient in the home and the specialists who are determined to provide quality care.
