Abstract
Edward J. Benz, Jr, MD, an internationaUy recognized hematologist, wasrecently named President ofthe Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Beforecomingto Dana-Farber, Dr Benz was Chairof the Department of Medicine and the Sir WiUiam Osler Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University Schoolof Medicine. He has alsoserved as Chiefofthe Division of Hematology at Yale and Chairofthe Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
