The problems of safety, risk, the optimal level of reliability, as well as vulnerability and survivability of structures are discussed. It is assumed that all aspects of the protection of structures that ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the structures themselves can be combined into a single aggregated model. The paper consists of three parts. The first is Risk, the second part deals with Vulnerability, whereas the last addresses the Survivability.
