The purpose of this paper is to derive the conditions of the propagation of progressive waves in the meridian plane of 6 mm-type piezoelectric crystal subject to mechanical and electrical initial fields. The author obtains the velocities of propagation as closed-form solutions and analyzes the polarization of the respective waves. The influence of the initial fields on the shape of slowness surfaces is shown.
