It is almost impossible, with any degree of certainty, to predict the progress of oncology pharmacy in the next millennium. As a relatively new field, it is perhaps most instructive to look at the foreseeable future, the next 20 years. The following is an attempt to broadly outline the trends for oncology pharmacy in the coming years, and identify those issues that will be key for the practising oncology pharmacist.
