Abstract
Online gender-based violence (OGBV) in Indonesia includes various forms of online harassment, such as sexual harassment, revenge porn, and digital threats targeting gender and sexual orientation. With a rise in gender-based violence (GBV) cases over the past 5 years, this study examines current practices and solutions for handling these cases. It uses a juridical-normative method with qualitative analysis, revealing that the interpretation of laws like the Criminal Code, Pornography Law, ITE Law, and TPKS Law creates challenges in addressing GBV. The study suggests the need for a specialized law to better tackle OGBV, incorporating Islamic law as a potential framework.
