Abstract
The United States’s southwest desert region embodies a blend of indigenous cultures with their unique ethos. “The Owl,” based on an actual event that occurred three decades ago to the author in Arizona, weaves Native American and Hispanic spiritual beliefs. The recounted experience is a personal, poetic testimonio on wisdom as a gift.
