Social location is typically thought to shape narratives, but in this article, I provide evidence that events and narrative environment make a difference. I analyze peak oil accounts from two Internet blogs for evidence of continuity and disruption. I identify six types of narratives that mediate bloggers’ interpretations and add to the complex conditions of narrativity.
