Views of Prospective Teachers and Non-Teachers in a Journalism Graduate Class toward Teaching

Abstract

Stereotypes of teaching as a profession seemed to influence both teachers and non-teachers among the 46 students studied. Downgrading of teaching by the prospective teachers points to a need for corrective action.
