What role has the editorial cartoon had in influencing events, and what is its future? Here is gathered testimony from past and present leaders in cartooning: J. N. (Ding) Darling, Daniel R. Fitzpatrick, David Low, Bill Mauldin, Scott Long, Edmund Valtman and Interlandi. Some forsee a decline in “strong” editorial cartoonists.
