Abstract
Three UCLA journalism professors have begun a depth study of the Los Angeles newspaper publishing situation, in the wake of the suspension of the Examiner and Mirror. This initial report indicates the two discontinued papers had a weaker hold on their readers than did the two surviving dailies.
