Abstract
Dailies studied in Wisconsin, as well as in Indiana, show a tendency to use more wire news and less local copy since the advent of the Teletypesetter. This raises the question whether some papers are “trimming the edges off their product” enough to be harmful. Mr. Cutlip is an associate professor at Wisconsin.
