The Press and Propaganda in the 1948 Italian Election Campaign

Abstract

With another general election scheduled in Italy this spring, an analysis of the role played by communication agencies in the 1948 campaign throws light upon the present alignment of propaganda forces. This article is adapted from Mr. Caldwell's M.A. thesis in journalism at the University of Minnesota.
