The Associated Press case went to the U. S. Supreme Court during the current quarter. Arguments were not expected to be heard before the October term. The perennial issue of press freedom achieved the dignity of a “commission investigation” on grant given by Henry Luce of Time-Life-Fortune. Articles on the press and the war reflected the pre-invasion expectancy. Television came in for a new round of interest.
