Abstract
Articles on the press during the current period reflected increasing interest in the impact of the war on American publishing. The celebration of National Newspaper Week in October produced a number of comments. The affairs of the American Newspaper Guild centered in the national referendum on a new slat of officers. The inquiry of the Federal Communications Commission into newspaper ownership of radio stations was widely noted.
