Abstract
Magazine articles on press and communications during the current period increasingly were based either directly or indirectly on national defense. The emergency dominated the annual sessions of both the A.N.P.A., and the A.S.N.E. Major attention was given the topic of censorship, because of the interest shown by both publishers and high government officials in what the public should and should not read. F.E.M.
