Abstract
Articles pertaining to journalism during the current quarter continued to emphasize the impact of the war in Europe on both news gathering and news publishing both in this country and abroad. Efforts of publishers to obtain better recognition from the Wage-Hour administration produced numerous comments. The various ramifications of Guild activity were covered pro and con. Discussions of the position of the press in the 1940 presidential election were frequent. Much attention was given to this subject by Arthur Robb, editor of Editor & Publisher.
