Abstract
The war in Europe continued to dominate the articles relating to press and communications for the current quarter. The defeat of Prance by Germany necessitated an additional recasting of news collection lines. In this country, the Newspaper Guild administrative leaders succeeded in overcoming an ouster movement directed against important national officers at the Memphis convention. Increasing stress was noted on advertising rate structures and linage possibilities. A sharp decline in so-called speculative articles was apparent. F. E. M.
