Abstract
This article is an experimental-analytical investigation of the structural behavior of a two-span steel-concrete bridge. The use of mixed experimental data coming from both static and dynamic testing has proved crucial for the identification of an accurate finite element model of the bridge and for a full understanding of its structural behavior. In addition, the results suggest that, in order to avoid the indeterminacy that frequently affects structural identification problems, it is useful to consider all the known a piori information on the system and carefully select the parameters to be identified.
