Abstract
My upper elementary age daughter has been considered an underachiever by her teachers since first grade. They won't even consider a trial in the gifted program because her achievement is only at or slightly above grade level. Her special area teachers in art and music have told me she has some talent in these areas. Do you think that participation in art club, orchestra, or a school play might help motivate her?
