Abstract
The purpose of this article is to share some examples of the positive impact of parental and community involvement upon gifted children.
Starfire, the gifted program in Temple, Texas, is a beautiful example of what a community can do for its kids when parents, businesses and schools work together. The support of a progressive school board, administration, teachers, and parents have been responsible for a full time program of superior quality.
